About Kara
Kara graduated from the Central Pennsylvania School of Massage’s 1080 hour massage therapy training in 2001. It was during her time there that she was first introduced to yoga. She became hooked immediately noticing how not only her body was becoming stronger and more flexible but how she could focus more easily, spent less time stressed out, and was developing a more easy going and laid back disposition.
Kara continued her practice in her home as well as in several different studios and gyms until she found a home at Life in Balance Yoga. She continues to work as a massage therapist offering an array of services to people of all ages and needs; as she moves forward with her yoga teacher training through the Aura Wellness Center. She was recently awarded a degree in Health Science from Harrisburg Area Community College.
One of the things Kara loves the most about massage and teaching yoga is that everyone leaves feeling more balanced and relaxed than when they came in. Yoga and massage therapy is a wonderful opportunity to teach others how to reconnect to and care for themselves.
Kara is a licensed massage therapist through the state of Pennsylvania, certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and a member of the American Massage and Bodywork Association.
