Frequently Asked Questions

Beginners Information

  1. ?

Which class is right for me? I'm a beginner.
Everybody is different. Please see beginners page for more information on getting started. The classes without beginner in the description will provide slightly less detailed instructions but still may be appropriate for you.
  2. ?

How old should I be to attend classes?
To attend regular classes you should be 14 years or older. We offer sessions for kids and teens regularly. Please see schedule or make a reservation for a private session. Please see parties page for more details.
  3. ?

Should I register online and where to park?
Yes please! We are not at the studio unless we are teaching classes. It is better to register online so that you can create your log in and passwords to register for classes in the future. There is both garage parking and public lot parking behind the studio. The entrance is also on the back side of the building. From Broadway turn down the School Ave ( alley between LIBY and Readers Cafe).
  4. ?

What do I need for classes?
If you have registered online all you need is to bring yourself, a yoga mat ( we have extras to share if you don't own one), comfortable clothes, a water bottle if needed. Please do not eat a large meal before attending and practice should be done with an empty bladder. Class passes and memberships start when you purchase. Monthly memberships include all classes within the month you paid.
  5. ?

I am a new customer but I can't register for the new client rate.
If you have been to the studio for any other classes or workshops the system will see you as an existing customer. Please register unpaid for class you wish to attend and the instructor can look at your account at the studio and proceed from there.
  6. ?

How much weight do the aerial hammocks hold?
1000 pounds! You will be fine! Please bring a yoga mat if you have one!
  7. ?

Can I do aerial yoga and do you offer private parties?
Yes and yes - We offer both beginner and gentle aerial classes for those that are new or just need a gentle option. We also have a parties page to see details for hanging out with your friends.
  8. ?

When should I move to Level 1 or Level 2 Aerial.
If you are not ready after 3 classes please stay where you are comfortable. Many students will need more than 3 classes to move on. But if you are confident in your aerial abilities we are fine with you starting in any class if you have prior experience. You should know the basic wraps. Aerial 2 will be comparable to the nature of a Vinyasa style class. Postures will flow without a huge amount explanation but if you are familiar with basic wraps and inversion and taking vinyasa style classes you will be fine!
